Fresh from supporting Dylan Moran on his 2024 tour “A Work in Progress Wander", Bob Hennigan has been described as “Mayo’s most charming ball of misery”. Bob has been Ireland’s best-kept comedy secret for many years. The reason you might not have heard of him is that Bob’s stage skills far outweigh his marketing ability.
But, now, Bob has a website...
A past winner of the prestigious TedFest Toilet Duck Award (where Bob saved the life of Wales’ top Elvis impersonator…true story) and Galway Fringe Festival Comedy Award (where Bob didn’t realise he was in a competition…also a true story), Bob has supported legends like Jimmy Carr, Kevin Bridges and Tommy Tiernan. In 2023, Bob supported John Colleary and Reginald D. Hunter on their Irish tours.
Bob is Resident MC of Ireland’s Smallest Comedy Club in Galway City and has graced the stage at every major comedy venue and festival across Ireland including Dublin's International Comedy Club, The Laughter Lounge, The Vodafone Comedy Festival, Galway Comedy Festival, Wild Roots & many more. He’d grace even more stages and festivals if people would return his emails or click on the link to the lovely new website he paid for.
Following a diagnosis of ADHD in his 40s, Bob has started to speak about his experience with the condition. Bob also realised his ADHD might be the reason that he hadn’t gotten around to making a website for himself, so he immediately made one…one year later.
In 2023, Bob toured his ADHD-themed show ‘It Doesn't ADhD Up”, which sold out at the Galway Comedy Festival. In 2024, Bob is back with "Bob Hennigan: So…any other craic?”
